I joined the English department at Case Western Reserve in fall 2003. My primary scholarly interests include: medical rhetoric, writing studies, and English language and linguistics.

My research focuses on medical rhetoric, especially contemporary linguistic and rhetorical constructions of (mental) health and illness.

I teach a variety of courses, including the History of the English Language, Language and Gender, Rhetoric of Health and Medicine, and the Rhetoric and Teaching of Writing.
