Smith Building. We have access to local and state-wide high-performance cluster computing resources as well as our own computational facilities. The Lab has an AMD Opteron-based, 18-cpu high-performance cluster. The renovated laboratory holds space for shared workstation computing, work, and conference facilities for our students and researchers.<\/p>\n<p>The Department also maintains common geophysics equipment for use in teaching and research. These include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Geometrics Geode 12-channel seismometer<\/li>\n<li>Two GEM Systems proton-precession magnetometers<\/li>\n<li>MiniSting Electrical resistivity equipment<\/li>\n<li>Geonics EM31-D electrical conductivity meter<\/li>\n<li>Thales ProMark3 surveying GPS equipment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Planetary Geodynamics Lab is part of the Department of Geological Sciences which is situated in the A.W.
