I joined the English department at Case Western Reserve in fall 2003. My primary\u00a0scholarly\u00a0interests include: medical rhetoric, writing studies, and English language and linguistics.<\/p>\n
My research focuses on medical rhetoric, especially contemporary linguistic and rhetorical constructions of (mental) health and illness.<\/p>\n
I teach a variety of courses, including the History of the English Language, Language and Gender, Rhetoric of Health and Medicine, and the Rhetoric and Teaching of Writing.<\/p>\n
